About GHC
Goals
Diagnosis and treatment of disease is one of the leading health care problems throughout the world.
Global Health Care will provide innovative health care and health education to disadvantaged, vulnerable, victimized and/or threatened segments of the international population. It is with the view to reduce the constraints of extreme poverty that Global Health Care is formed toward fulfilling the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations.
Global Health Care will fulfil. its goals by promoting partnerships in the delivery of health care to maximize the available human and material resources in the delivery of health care and health education for the communities of its focus.
Global Health Care is established to develop institutions in collaboration with specific countries of regions to deliver primary and urgent health care to the international community. Global Health Care will also provided emergency medical assistance and longer term health care for victims of violence (including PTS disorder).
The core competencies of Global Health Care institutions will be:
- Wellness Preventive Health Education Programs
- Outpatient Screening & Diagnostic Programs
- Multispecialty Groups & Urgent Care Centers
- Inpatient Hospital Programs
- Clinical Rehabilitation Programs
Global Health Care is committed to fostering the health of the community, stressing the values of caring and respect for everyone requiring health care.
Purposes
The Foundation’s purpose is to ‘Establish’
- Primary and urgent heath care centers of excellence – operated by licensed providers in collaboration with the foundation;
- for clinical patient care both outpatient diagnostic or impatient treatments
- for individuals in need in the United States & international communities
- Community-based informational health education programs;
- for preventive health care programs with health screening services
The Foundation’s purpose is to ‘Facilitate’
- Patient access to health care centers of excellence;
- for individuals in need in the United States & international communities
- Health care provider access to education & exchange:
- Education & exchange for international providers of health care services
- Exchange for United States providers of health care services
- Research and development:
- of optimal basic sciences biology and clinical treatment strategies
- of technology techniques or products for the improvement of medical diagnosis & treatment
The Foundation’s purpose is to ‘Manage’
- Create Health care teams for international exchange;
- Health care providers of basic, primary health care services to international communities outside the United States.
- The core competencies of these teams will be in the areas of:
- Clinical Patient Care
- Public Health Education
- Clinical & Basic Science Research
- Disseminate public service health & health care provider information;
- via publications, electronic video media, & directed health information seminars
Objectives
Public Health Education
The Foundation’s objective is also to provide public education in primary preventive medicine knowledge and therapy. This will include educational seminars in actual community-based clinic environments, with screening and counseling so as to manage and prevent endemic medical diseases. The goal is to prevent the public from becoming patients with advanced illness of disease.
Clinical Patient Care
The Foundation’s objective is to provide primary and urgent health care services to people of all countries, regardless of economic status. Primary emphasis is on services for rural acute disease, trauma, acquired infectious disease and secondary disease. The Foundation seeks to assist in the development of teams for international primary and urgent health care centers through;
- educational exchange,
- proper management of resources, and
- establishing a common network joining centers to a common database.
Research
The Foundation’s objective is further to promote clinical research. Research will be performed with the the project countries and within newer Global Health Care chapter countries to study the impact, sustainability, and innovations needed to establish their primary and urgent health care centers. The research will be initiated in the United States followed by dissemination to the Global Health Care chapter countries sponsoring individual medical research physicians.
Physician Exchange
The Foundation’s objective is to arrange regular exchange visits of physicians, resident physicians-in-training, and medical students between the United States and Global Health Care chapter countries selected for primary and urgent health care center project development.
